APA Los Angeles Presents: Bikeable MyFigueroa
March 30, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Pardee Way at Exposition Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90089
MyFigueroa is one of the most important public projects implemented in downtown LA in the last generation. It converts one of downtown’s primary frontage roads into a human-centric street that better serves the needs of pedestrians, bicyclists, transit riders, and drivers alike. Funded by Measure 1-C and the result of a 10 year collaboration led by the Department of Transportation, and in council with City leaders, adjacent land owners, the cycling community, neighborhood groups, and others; the 3 mile project has been open less than ½ a year. Anecdotal reviews of the project have been generally positive, but not without a few ongoing tweaks. Come join the Bikeable team at APA Los Angeles to tour the project by bike and hear key insights from the leading people who implemented the vision and continue to monitor its progress.
