Job Description
The Department of Urban Studies and Planning at California State University, Northridge is seeking applicants for an Assistant Professor position to be eligible for hire in the 2021 academic year.
Teaching is the primary job responsibility. The department offers a BA in urban studies and planning and a MA in urban planning. Teaching responsibilities will include introductory level general education courses focusing on the evolution of urbanism and the structure of cities as well as upper division and graduate level courses reflecting department needs and the candidate’s areas of professional expertise.

Required Experience / Skills / Education
Qualifications: A Ph.D. in city, urban, or regional planning, urban studies, or a closely related field from a fully accredited university is required. Expertise in computer based-graphic communication methods and the ability to teach these techniques (e.g. geographic information science – GIS, Creative Suite Applications, and Sketch-Up) is required.
