Join the City of Long Beach to celebrate National Community Planning Month—a time to recognize planners’ work to improve the livability of the community. The Department of Development Services (Planning Bureau) will be hosting educational workshops and a family-friendly community resource fair throughout the month of October.

• Careers in Urban Planning – Tuesday, October 15 @ 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm at Michelle Obama Neighborhood Library, 5870 Atlantic Ave. 
• Park-to-Park: Walk/Bike Tour – Saturday, October 19 @ 9:00 am to 11:00 am Hudson Park, 2335 Webster Ave. 
• LBDS Outdoors: A Community Resource Fair on Saturday, October 26 @ 10:00am to 12:00pm at Whaley Park, 5620 E. Atherton St.
