At our September 23, 2020 Board meeting, APA Los Angeles will consider a number of changes to our bylaws. The bylaws are the foundational document for our purposes and operations, and guide the ways in which we serve our members. As required, we are publishing the proposed amendments to our membership ahead of the upcoming vote. Please see the documentation linked below for specific language changes related to each amendment. • Amendment 1 – Change title of “Diversity & Inclusion Director” to “Equity Director”
• Amendment 2 – Assign California Planning Foundation (CPF) Liaison duties to the University Liaison, assign Historian duties to the Vice Director of Administration, and eliminate the CPF Liaison/Historian position
• Amendment 3 – Make changes and additions to boilerplate language and legal items for consistency with Chapter bylaws (refer to the Section Bylaws Template provided by the California Chapter in January 2020)
• Amendment 4 – Quorum to include at least one Student Representative
