SCAG Main Office 900 Wilshire Blvd., Ste. 1700 Los Angeles, CA 90017
Registration is now open for the 35th Annual 2024 Southern California Demographic Workshop, presented by SCAG and the USC Sol Price School of Public Policy at SCAG’s main office in Downtown Los Angeles, with an online attendance option, on Sept. 24. 2024.
Navigating the New Growth Reality
For a century, fast population growth defined Southern California as a magnet for migrants. However, population growth has slowed in the past decade, consistent with national and global trends—creating long-term effects for the region’s economic and cultural landscapes.
Register today for SCAG’s 2024 Southern California Demographic Workshop to gather with local leaders, elected officials and regional demographic experts to discuss how changing population growth affects regional planning—from accommodating development to improving quality of life and cultivating the economy. Expert insights at the 2024 Demographic Workshop will include region-specific details from American Community Survey data and other demographic signals crucial to informed and effective planning decisions.
