Job Description
The Los Angeles County Department of Regional Planning is recruiting for two Deputy Directors. The first position is in the Current Planning Division and the second position is in the Advance Planning Division. The ideal candidates will be proven leaders with experience or strong knowledge regarding the Coastal Act, updating general plan elements, zoning codes and specific plans, community engagement with active stakeholder groups, and working in a fast-paced environment.
Required Experience / Skills / Education
These positions require an active, working leader and manager. As such, the ideal candidates will be seasoned managers who offer support, mentoring, and optimism, and who spend time developing staff’s technical and leadership skills. The ideal candidates will have proven track records of building relationships with elected and appointed officials, community stakeholders, and staff from other departments within the County family.
