We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join us as the manager for our Kite Transportation & Commuter Services program.
Kite offers a multi-modal comprehensive program for commuter and inter-campus transportation to its California employees, including long-distance shuttle services, vanpools, and public transportation, carpool, and active transportation programs. The goal of the Transportation group is to provide convenient and sustainable ways for employees to travel to work and between campus locations. The Transportation Manager will lead the implementation and operational efforts of the transportation and parking programs for our California sites. With growth into other geographic regions, the Transportation Manager will have the opportunity to develop context-specific programs that address the commute and transportation needs. This role will partner closely with the facilities team, HR, finance and security and will require a candidate to possess a strategic outlook, executive presence, a customer-facing mindset and strong business acumen.
RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to):
- Manage commuter program operations for California sites, including overseeing third party service providers
- Provide commute assistance to new and existing employees to align their commutes with program offerings
- Administer annual commuter survey (AQMD/City of Santa Monica), and complete other environmental reporting requirements
Implement parking strategies and manage parking inventory - Analyze commuter program utilization and develop modifications for continuous improvement; develop reports and benchmarking for internal stakeholders
- Work with internal stakeholders to develop commuter programs for new sites
Required Experience / Skills / Education
- BA/BS degree in planning, civil engineering, or related field
- Masters Degree in Planning, Business, or related field strongly preferred
- 7 years business/planning experience with at least 4 years working directly in a transportation-related or business hospitality role
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement transportation programs and initiatives
- Must have a working knowledge of AQMD, DOT, Metro requirements and general Transportation Demand Management and transportation planning programs and strategies
- Strong customer service, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Ability to adapt in a constantly evolving environment
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership in areas of responsibility
