Job Description
The City of Cudahy is seeking a well-rounded administrator with a proven record of effective leadership to serve as its next Community Services Director. An approachable and capable leader who possesses both creativity and a strategic mindset is sought. The ideal candidate will be a politically astute problem-solver capable of driving Cudahy’s success through their work in the Community Development Department.
Required Experience / Skills / Education
Any combination of education and experience which may provide the required knowledge, abilities, and skills is qualifying. Typically, candidates meet this requirement by graduating from an accredited four-year college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in urban planning, architecture, or a related field with five (5) years of recent progressively responsible community development experience, including two (2) years in a direct supervisory role. A Master’s degree in city planning, engineering, public administration, or finance is highly desirable. The ability to speak Spanish is preferred, but not required.
