Job Description
The City of Oxnard (pop. 200,000) is located on the beautiful Southern California coast and is the largest and most populous city in the County of Ventura. The activities of the Community Development Department are supported by 59 dedicated professionals.
Required Experience / Skills / Education
Oxnard seeks candidates with a well-rounded understanding of all areas in the Department and a passion for their work. The ideal candidate will be results oriented, make timely decisions, and able to quickly establish credibility and gain the trust and confidence of others. The Director will operate as both a strategic partner and working manager. Successful candidates will have a bachelor’s degree and six years of progressively responsible related experience, including management and supervisory experience.
Salary range is $138,752 – $236,899; supplemented by a competitive benefits package.
