Intermediate Planner

The position provides opportunities to be a part of our award-winning planning, urban design and landscape departments and be involved with a wide range of exciting projects, including TODs/TOCs, specific plans, planning and design for mass transit and transportation projects, master plans, design standards/guidelines, campus projects, revitalization plans, streetscape projects, and community plans for both public and private sectors.
Required Experience / Skills / Education
We are looking for candidates with the following types of experience:
- Land use/urban planning/design
- Strong physical design and policy planning
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Innovative outreach and consensus building
- Active Transportation
- Proposal writing (desirable)
- Business development in California (desirable)
A Master’s degree in Planning or a related field and at least 5 years of experience in planning/urban design is required. Experience working at a private consulting firm is desirable. Experience in transportation planning and an undergraduate degree in Architecture or Landscape Architecture, and AICP certification are also desirable. This is a salaried position ($70,000 to $95,000). Actual salary is dependent upon experience.
