Job Description
CALSTART is hiring an EV Technical Analyst to perform technical work across a variety of data efforts within the Validation and Assessment team. This role will manage projects and develop/maintain stakeholder relationships, facilitating communications and coordinating activities. You will manage CARB and CEC data efforts, including HVIP, Sustainable Fleets, and Class 8 truck deployments.
Additionally, the Electric Vehicle Technical Analyst will:
- Support and manage projects with oversight including Sustainable Fleets. With guidance manage functions, processes or teams and complete work as directed to deploy zero emissions vehicles. Support accreditation for projects and ensure deliverable completion. Other tasks may include research existing programs and methods, assess best practices, assist with strategy development.
- Project management as needed across V&A for projects including deployment spotlights, Super Portal, TA SB 372, large truck deployments. Create management structures such as budgets, time and task tracking, contracts, and HR support.
- Manage data collection and analysis including CARB data efforts. Contribute to projects through technical support (especially data collection and analysis), stakeholder coordination and management, presentation creation and delivery, communication, coordination and delegation across teams, perform literature reviews and synthesis, create reports and analysis documents.
- Zeroing on ZEVs publication across team and lead Validation and Assessment contributions to the publication. Monitor RSS feeds internationally, develop structured reporting processes, and incorporate deployment learnings.

CALSTART includes the complete salary range amount $64,000- $93,000the job level of the job announced. We determine pay based on education, experience, internal equity, and any other factors relevant to the job. Pay for this role will typically be from $64,000-$71,000.

Required Experience / Skills / Education
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of Project Management
- 2+ years of experience working in Validation and Assessment or Evaluating Clean Technologies
- Data collection, analytical research, report writing and presentation experience with moderate independence and managerial guidance.
- Knowledge of data analysis and management
- Knowledge of vehicle technologies
- Proficient in data processing, data analysis, visualization, and programming skills (R/Python)
- Bachelor’s Degree In engineering, environmental science, or a relevant field, or equivalent years of experience.
- Ability to analyze and interpret written material and quantitative data to draw conclusions and make recommendations.
