Job Description
The City of Long Beach is now hiring for multiple planner positions, ranging from entry level to senior planner. Currently there are seven (7) grade I-V vacancies in current, long range, and environmental planning. Long Beach has been recognized with multiple APA Los Angeles and APA California awards in recent years for a variety of noteworthy projects and efforts to make city planning more equitable and community-centered. Consider coming to work for a large yet nimble city with a range of exciting projects and challenges including mixed-use and housing development projects, a citywide rezoning program, multiple general plan element updates, efforts to reduce carbon emissions and improve environmental review processes.
