Want to make a BIG impact in a supportive SoCal coastal community? The City of Oxnard (pop. 200,000+) is seeking a strong leader to serve as Community Development Director. The Director leads a team of 66 staff who are dedicated to excellence and making a difference in the largest city in Ventura County. Oxnard offers a unique blend of land uses, a diverse population and economy, incredible coastal assets, and an exceptional quality of life. Many new transformational development projects have been completed and several more are underway during this exciting time in the city’s history.
Required Experience / Skills / Education
The ideal candidate will be an engaged manager and mentor capable of building resilient cohesive teams and fostering a culture of efficiency, inclusivity, and fun. This planning professional will also be an outstanding communicator who is passionate about leveraging technology and modernizing operations that better serve both staff and customers. Successful candidates will have a bachelor’s degree and six years of progressively responsible related experience, including management and supervisory experience.
Salary range goes up to $244,066; salary supplemented by a competitive benefits package.
