Join an exciting new office in the Division of Local Assistance. As a member of the Office of Local Civil Compliance leadership team and under the general direction of the Office Chief, a Supervisor Transportation Planner, the Incumbent will serve as a high-level senior leader. The Incumbent will be a subject matter expert to an important program at Caltrans that provides oversight and guidance of the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program (DBE) to district staff and Local Public Agencies. The DBE program helps ensure small and disadvantaged business are provided fair opportunities to participate in federal funded local transportation projects. The incumbent will lead, analyze policies and data to prepare, administer, and monitor the Disadvantage Business Enterprise program and all guidance, training, monitoring and enforcement of the program to ensure adherence to federal requirement. The Incumbent may also assist with oversight of the Title VI and ADA programs as they relate to Local Agencies. The applicant should possess high level skills in both written and verbal communications, as the incumbent works directly with a variety of management teams at Caltrans, Caltrans Districts and with Caltrans transportation partners.
