Under the direction of the Supervising Transportation Planner for the Office of Community, Climate and Modal Planning, the Senior Transportation Planner is responsible for the implementation and facilitation of the District 7 California Active Transportation Plan, including representing the District in matters related to active transportation, complete streets, pedestrian and bicycle facilities. The incumbent works independently as an in-house policy, funding, planning, and technical advisor on pedestrian and bicycle transportation issues. This involves working in cooperation with various District 7 functional units as well as Federal, State, regional and local transportation agencies, Caltrans Headquarters and other districts, legislative staff, and the public.

Senior Transportation Planner Exam
Eligibility for hire may be determined by your score on the Caltrans examination list.
