GIS Analyst / Planner

Job Description

KTUA is looking for an inspired, creative, and motivated individual with a passion using GIS to support community-based planning and design working closely with our project managers and senior staff. Projects are typically located throughout southern and central California. This position will assist with map and model development, data creation, analysis, and ArcGIS Online support as well as general planning support such as report writing and community outreach. Projects will primarily support parks, trails, and active transportation plans. The position will be based in our San Diego office.

Required Experience / Skills / Education

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in planning, landscape architecture, GIS, transportation planning or related field.
  • Between 2-3 years of GIS experience in private consultancy or public agency.
  • Required experience includes ArcMap, ArcGIS Online, and AutoCAD.
  • Experience with ArcPro and Modelbuilder is a plus, but not required.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suites.
  • Preferred experience includes SketchUp.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong report writing, research, and presentation skills required.
  • Ability to multitask and work on multiple projects and tasks daily.
  • Motivated self-starter able to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Favorable background check and ability to travel.
  • Must be authorized to work in the USA (Citizenship or current VISA/Green Card).

Salary Range:

$65k – $72k, commensurate with experience
