Will Consider Transportation Planner
Under the direction of the Service Planning and Modeling Branch Chief, the Associate Transportation Planner is responsible for the more-complex intermediate level Caltrans service planning and ridership modeling functions. This includes: analysis of passenger rail operations and connectivity for the California State Rail Plan; preparation of network operations and integrated timetable studies utilizing Caltrans-supported network operations modeling tools (including Viriato); working with partner rail operators on operational analysis for integrated network operations; analysis of ridership modeling and operations scenarios from state-supported intercity passenger rail Joint Powers Agencies and other transportation partners; and creating schematic maps of rail corridors and proposals for reports and plans for the Division.
