HCD Accepting Public Comments on SB 35 Streamlined Ministerial Approval Process Draft Guidelines through 10/30!
The California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) has just released the Streamlined Ministerial Approval Process Draft Guidelines. Chapter 366, Statutes of 2017 (SB 35, Weiner) requires the availability of a streamlined, ministerial approval process for developments in localities that have not yet made sufficient progress towards their allocation of the regional housing need. These Guidelines establish terms, conditions and procedures for a development proponent to submit an application for a development to a locality that is subject to the streamlined, ministerial approval process provided by Government Code section 65913.4.
