Assistant Planner

Job Description

The City of Diamond Bar is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual with outstanding interpersonal skills to join our team as a full-time Assistant Planner.

Under general supervision of the Senior Planner, performs journey-level professional level work in the field of current and/or advanced planning; provides information and assistance to developers and the public on planning related matters; and performs other related duties as required.

Required Experience / Skills / Education

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Urban or Regional Planning, Architecture or a related field.

Experience:
Two years of responsible experience in urban planning.

Licenses and/or Certificates:
Possession of a valid Class C California driver’s license and an acceptable driving record. Possession of AICP (American of Institute of Certified Planners) certification is desirable.
Special Requirements:
Ability to travel to different sites and locations as well as work in the field, the office and/or remotely.
