Job Description
Gruen Associates, an award winning Los Angeles architectural, landscape architectural and planning firm is seeking a junior/entry-level landscape designer with abilities to design, and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team. Junior urban planners with an interest in landscape architecture are encouraged to apply.
Gruen’s landscape and planning department is a closely knit group of professionals that are dedicated to working together on a variety of projects and have a passion for urban design that directly impacts our quality of life.

Design theory knowledge, attention to detail, and strong visual, graphic, and writing abilities are highly valued. Responsibilities will include field investigation, research, analysis, planning, sustainable design, graphics production, CAD drafting + modeling, and public outreach.
Gruen’s Urban Design, Planning and Landscape Department provides urban/streetscape design, planning, landscape architecture and planning, and transportation services to public and private clients on the local, regional, state, and national levels.

Required Experience / Skills / Education
Key Aspects of Position:
Design process from Concept to Construction Documentation
Assist in writing project narratives and design reports
Generate high quality project graphics
Required Skills and Experience:
Junior to Mid-level Level 0-4 years
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Sketch-Up, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
GIS, Revit, Rhino, V-Ray and/or other rendering programs are desired
Writing and communication skills
Education:
Degree in Landscape Architecture, or Urban Planning is required.
