Required Experience / Skills / Education
Progressively responsible experience in planning is required: Three+ years for Associate Planners and five+ years for Senior Planners.
Must have local municipal current planning experience and a Bachelor’s degree with major course work in urban planning, architecture, or a related field required. Additional experience may include coordinating plan check routing between departments, reviewing projects for zoning and General Plan compliance, researching and analyzing land use issues; and preparing staff reports and making presentations to Planning Commission and City Council.
