AECOM is seeking a Planning Intern to be based in Los Angeles, CA

This position is expected to begin in June 2022.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Support planning studies and reports for new and updated plans, programs, and regulations.
  • Produce public-facing reports, maps, and other materials for project meetings and community outreach events.
  • Create engaging document layouts, diagrams, infographics, and/or renderings.
  • Collect and analyze data on both built environment and socioeconomic conditions, including from census/land use/property databases.
  • Participate in field investigations, site analysis, and research activities.
  • Marketing and proposal support

Minimum Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in bachelor’s degree program in Urban Planning or related field
  • Must have completed 2 years of study
  • Due to the nature of work, US Citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in master’s degree program in Urban Planning or related field
  • Experience with SketchUp or other 3D applications
  • Knowledge of planning-related equity issues and analysis tools
  • Knowledge of local, regional, and statewide housing policies
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator/InDesign required)
