Job Description
Boutique Santa Monica law firm specializing in land use and real estate seeks a full-time land use planner to assist its attorneys and clients, which are principally developers and property owners, with various aspects of land use entitlements, real estate development and transactions. Typical responsibilities will include permit research, zoning due diligence and policy analysis, historic preservation, preparation and submittal of land use entitlement applications, review and consultation with design and other real estate professionals regarding preparation of project plans, and communication with Planning Department and other local and State governmental staff.
Salary range of $70,000 to $90,000, depending on experience.
Required Experience / Skills / Education
The ideal candidate will have completed a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Urban Planning or a related field and will have 3-6 years of relevant public-sector or private-sector work experience in zoning review, land use and development permitting.
