Job Description
Under general direction, organizes and directs the Economic Development and Housing Division within the Community Development Department at the City of Whittier; secures and coordinates the preparation, implementation, and management of complex economic development and housing programs and projects; manages the development, implementation, and administration of economic development and housing plans and budgets; performs other professional duties as required.
Required Experience / Skills / Education
Qualifications:
Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Class C California driver’s license.
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in public administration, planning, economics, business administration, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
AND
Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in public redevelopment, community development, planning, economic development, housing, or a related field.
