Job Description
The City of Duarte is seeking a seasoned and energetic Associate Planner for its Community Development Department. This is an excellent job for a planner that wants to be part of a very strong team that is focused on providing top quality customer service to the community. We are looking for a planner that has shown that they have the ability and desire to excel in performing a wide range of professional planning tasks; evaluating architectural proposals and site plans; communicating clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing; and in being part of a departmental team. We encourage lateral applicants and experienced Assistant Planners to apply.
Required Experience / Skills / Education
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Although the City is open to other appropriate combinations, candidates should have a have Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in planning, urban studies, or a related field, and three years of experience in municipal planning.
