Under the general direction of the District 12 Office Chief of Transportation Planning, the incumbent is responsible for major functional areas that include State Planning and Research Grants contract initiation and management, leading special tasks/studies related to transportation planning policy, and overseeing the State and Regional Planning programs. Other responsibilities include: review of external agency board or committee agendas; analysis of external legislation and internal policies; and serving as Division liaison on the Strategic Business Plan and Sustain ability & Innovation Committee. The work requires strong communication (written and oral), partnership, customer service, and strategic thinking skills, as well as a deep commitment to the Department’s strategic vision, mission, values, and goals, and advancing equity through all efforts.
