Job Description
The Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support to the Department of Public Health’s new Office of Worker Health and Safety (OWHS), which aims to advance safe and healthy workplaces across LA County. OWHS oversees the Public Health Councils Program and the County’s Silicosis Prevention Initiative. The Administrative Assistant will support a team of analysts and the Program Director, and assist with invoice processing, data and file management, contracts, analyzing and making recommendations to maximize efficiency within the organization in areas related to budget, systems and procedures, program, facilities planning, general management, and personnel.
Required Experience / Skills / Education
Two years of experience in a staff capacity analyzing and making recommendations for the solution of problems of organization, systems and procedures, program, budget, or personnel;
A valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.
