Salary: $148,512 – $180,516 Annually

Full-time Position with benefits offered.

The City of San Fernando is seeking a dynamic and results driven Economic Development Manager to oversee complex planning, program management, and the development of commercial, residential, and public improvement projects. The position provides strategic advise and leadership to the City Manager and City Counsil in developing short- and long-term plans that support the City’s growth, job creation, and quality-of-life goals. The role requires significant independent decision-making and will include supervising support staff while reporting to the City Manager.

Required Experience / Skills / Education

 

Requirements Education/Experience:   Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in Public or Business Administration, Economics, Urban Planning or a closely related field. A master’s degree is desirable.

Experience: Four years of professional level experience in redevelopment and economic development is required. Municipal government experience is preferred. Professional level experience in the operation of personal computers is highly desirable.

Special Requirement: Stay current in field and acquire all necessary training that new technological changes may present.
