Gema is a Los Angeles–based urban planner at Kimley-Horn, where she supports the firm’s urban design and transit teams on projects focused on safety, active transportation, and transit-oriented communities across California. In addition to her planning work, Gema has a strong interest in visual communication. One of her favorite aspects of her role is designing report templates/graphics and community engagement content that translate planning concepts into clear and visually compelling materials that invite public engagement. She earned her Bachelors of Arts in Architecture from Yale University and her Masters of Urban and Regional Planning from UCLA.
