The Professional Development Committee is excited to announce our APA Los Angeles Mentorship Program! The APA LA Mentorship Program is a six-month program that pairs mentors – experienced professionals (7+ years) with valuable experience in the planning field – with protégés (1 to 4 years’ experience) – enthusiastic, emerging planners that are eager to grow and develop skills in their professional journey and personal lives.
Why Participate?
Benefits for mentors and protégés include networking, candid conversations, personalized guidance, and confidence building – and creating long-term relationships. The protégé and mentor one-on-one meetings afford unique access to industry leaders and their insight.
Program Structure
Mentors and protégés will be carefully matched based on their professional backgrounds, interests, and goals. Once matched, pairs will meet monthly. The Program will run for six months and will include focused sessions and larger group activities.
We invite current APA members to participate in this Program. The application deadline is Monday, September 30th. You will receive notice if you have been selected for the Program by Monday, October 14th.
