Cal Poly Pomona is happy to announce that registration is open for its 2021 Dale Prize Colloquium, featuring Dr. Nisha Botchwey and Miguel Angel Vazquez, AICP.
The public can now register to attend the 2021 Dale Prize Colloquium on Tuesday, March 2 at 5 p.m. (PST). This year’s theme, “Planning in the Pandemic: Public Health and Social Justice,” revisits the long, shared history between planning and public health to improve quality of life, and the urgency to address the inequalities in communities laid bare by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Awarded in pairs to a practitioner and a scholar, the 2021 Dale Prize honorees are: Miguel Angel Vazquez, AICP, the Healthy Communities Urban Planner at Riverside University Health System-Public Health; and Nisha Botchwey, Associate Dean of Academic Programs at Georgia Institute of Technology whose research focuses on health and the built environment, health equity and community engagement.
