FAICP Applications Due October 10 – Application Support Available through APA California
Every two years the National APA opens nominations for the Fellow American Institute of Certified Planners (FAICP). This is the most prestigious honor that a planner can attain within APA. Competition for this award is rigorous and requires a candidate to present accomplishments including excellence in professional practice, teaching and mentoring, research, public or community service and leadership, as well as being a member of AICP for a minimum of 15 years.
The California Chapter is seeking to identify chapter members who are planning to submit a FAICP application. Applications for 2020 are due by October 10, 2019.
The application process is challenging. If you are planning to apply or are interested in learning more, please contact Julia Lave Johnston, APA California President, at julialavejohnston@gmail.com by August 15. The Chapter can provide a mentor to help you with your application.
Please review the 2020 Nomination Guidelines to see if you are eligible.
