Planning never tasted so good!
Planning never tasted so good!
A gooey hot Portuguese pastry — there’s only one place in Los Angeles to get one, and it’s on Ventura Boulevard in the San Fernando Valley. From Sushi Row to Jewish delis, some of the City’s best culinary destinations are on its longest contiguous stretch of businesses. Come try them with us on Saturday May 21 as Secret City Tours leads “A Taste of Ventura Boulevard” food tour for planners! We’re not sharing the destinations yet — that’s part of the secret, and the fun!
Most planners know that to get in a car and zip from one tourist destination to another is to miss some of the greatest joys of Los Angeles. APA’s “Planning Local in a Global City” series guides planners to the cultural diversity and culinary treasures that exist within our backyard. These tours are not just for foodies, but are designed to delve into issues of economic and community development in neighborhoods rich with tradition, history, art and delicious cuisine.
The second in this series takes us to Ventura Boulevard, the lifeblood of the San Fernando Valley. From train lines to LA River Revitalization, this tour will explore some of LA’s most interesting planning projects. We’ll make our way from east to west via private coach, making approximately five food stops with historical, civic, and cultural information provided by our guides from Secret City!
APA members enjoy a special $10 discount off Secret City’s normal rate. Space is limited, so be sure to purchase your tickets today! http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/2544904
